Orphion is an iOS app that turns an iPad into a unique musical instrument that produces a sound that falls somewhere between a string instrument and percussion. Orphion is gesture controlled similarly to a guitar, and melodies can be manipulated by moving fingers in different ways on the virtual pads in the app. Users can download various pad-layouts to generate different tonalities ranging from easy to complex.
