Ivy Noise is an interactive installation comprising 87 speakers, 2 mics, 16 MP3 players, notebooks and MaxMSP software. Two microphones pick up all noise which is sampled and processed by MaxMSP software applying random functions and played through the speakers. Voices, footsteps, movements, are the food of the installation, just as the ivy is a parasite and feeds on the host organism.
